Bats: Breaking All the Rules
with Dr. Jan Just, research associate at Portland State University and an instructor of Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Biology at Portland Community College
Bats break all the rules. They aren't like other mammals. They are economically and environmentally important. Due to their complex natural history, they can also be a challenge to survey and manage. In this talk, Dr. Just will explain why bats are breaking the rules, how researchers identify bat species, and ways in which sampling design influences what we know about bat presence in Oregon and Washington.
