Description: Measuring from space. Exhibit provides visitors with an interactive explanation of radar altimetry and how it is used to measure sea height. Visitor starts a model of an altimetry satellite down a twenty foot overhead track. The model actually is a working altimeter that measures how high up it is from objects on the floor, directly simulating how satellite altimetry works. Visitors see a profile of the objects (which could be the visitors themselves) along the ground track. This exhibit can be custom sized to your specifications.
