Elementary My Dear Designer: The Making of an Exhibit

OMSI welcomes you to a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of an exhibit. Opening in October, The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes follows Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his brilliant detective through the world of forensic science and deduction. Embark on Holmes’s journey from Victorian London into the present day fabric of pop culture. Join designers from OMSI and Exhibits Development Group (EDG) for lunch and learn how to take an idea from the drawing board and into production.

Part of Design Week Portland, event admission includes lunch, a Q&A with designers, admission into the newly opened Sherlock Holmes exhibit, free parking at OMSI, and a behind the scenes tour of OMSI's exhibit production studio where the magic happens.

Doors open at 11:30am; programming begins at noon.
