Welcome to the Oregon Brainstorms Partnership (OBP) website, an online source of health and human biology units for teachers of grades 4-8. The units listed below were developed by teams of 5th-grade teachers, research scientists, and science educators from the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). Each unit has been field tested and revised before publication on the web. Each unit includes hands-on, inquiry-based classroom activities as well as online activities. These units are fun, easy to use, and designed to fulfill national science curriculum standards. Explore how the sense organs work and discover how sensory information is processed in the brain. Learn how the circulatory and respiratory systems work together to keep us alive and how they respond to the body's changing needs. Drafts of other units developed during the OBP Summer Institutes are available for review in OMSI's Life Science Lab. Call (503) 797-4607 to schedule a time to review these and other curriculum materials with Life Science staff. ![]() Web production services were provided by Amazing Online.
