Vole's Eye View |
|
In its home under a fallen log, a red-backed vole feasts on a diet of rich mushrooms called truffles. The truffles are the reproductive structures of mycorrhizal fungi and are full of fungal spores. Voles spread the spores in their droppings and help the fungi enrich new places in the forest soil. Instructions: Explore how fungi help trees, how trees help voles, or return to the introduction. |
