About Our Rats
Our rats live in a large acrylic tank with lots of space to play and explore.
The cage contains many toys, including an exercise wheel, jungle gym, and soft knit hammocks. Rats are intelligent animals, so it is a good idea to give them things to play with, and to change the set-up of their cage periodically. Our rats also get plenty of stimulation in the form of petting from education staff, lab volunteers, and our visitors.
