Deer Chaser Fountain
A common element of Japanese gardens, this fountain serves a useful purpose as well. Its periodic blows against a rock scare away intruding garden pests.

Birds on a Wire
This water sculpture is a popular attraction at OMSI. Finished in 1995 by David Curt Morris, this fountain is very similar to the Deer Chaser fountain, but on a larger scale. Large metal pipes move in rythmic motions that remind one of birds drinking from a fountain.

Keller's Forecourt Fountain
Designed by Angela Danadjieva and built in 1971 in honor of Ira Keller, this fountain's size reminds the viewer of nature's power. Pumps move 13,000 gallons of water over the falls every minute.

Skidmore Fountain
Portland's oldest ornamental fountain, the Skidmore fountain was built in the center of the city in 1888. On the base, the inscription reads: "Good Citizens Are The Riches Of A City."
