Description: What does the brain do? What would happen if a section of your brain were turned off? Visitors learn about some of the functions associated with specific parts of the brain and what happens when these sections are damaged. When a visitor turns off a particular switch on the Brain Map, that section of the brain goes dark on the screen, and a text box identifies which functions have been lost and no longer work.
