Bon Appétit, OMSI’s exclusive caterer, is devoted to creating fresh food, alive with flavor and nutrition. Our passion for fresh, local ingredients makes it possible to customize menus to reflect the season. All food is prepared from scratch using socially responsible practices.

Our featured exhibit hall is home to several rotating exhibits through the year and is adjacent to the Dining Room.

Turbine Hall
Experiment with technology and physical sciences in this hall named for the large turbine generator that serves as its focal point.  This highly dynamic space is a popular choice for reception-style events.

  • Availability:  6pm-11pm and 7pm-11pm in the summer months
  • Square Footage:  13,400



Earth Hall 
Located on the second floor of the museum, the Earth Science Hall focuses on the characteristics of Planet Earth, and is a great spot for reception and dinner events. Currently unavailable until March 2012.

Life Hall
Located on the second floor of the museum, the Life Science hall invites visitors to explore the nature of human growth and development, structure and function of the human body, and the impact of advancing technology on health care and life choices.

  • Availability:  6pm-11pm and 7pm-11pm in the summer months

Dining Room  
Versatile seating arrangements and breath-taking city views make OMSI’s Dining Room the perfect location for after-hour receptions or dinner events.

Courtyard
Our seasonal courtyard is nestled along the Willamette River with dynamic city views.   It’s the perfect spot for company picnics or evening receptions.

Parker Room  
Located on the top floor of the Turbine Exhibit Hall, the Parker Room is a small professional meeting room with views of the Willamette and downtown Portland.

OMSI Auditorium

Private Omnimax  
Emerge your guests with a larger than life OMNIMAX experience.  The theater is also available for lectures and special presentations.

Private Planetarium
OMSI’s Kendall Planetarium is a unique environment that blends art, science, fantasy and fun.   The Planetarium features educational astronomy based shows or laser imagery choreographed to music ranging from rock to classical.

  • Capacity:  190/full dome show or 95/half dome show
  • Availability:  Private shows scheduled around regular show times

Private USS Blueback Submarine Tours
  • The USS Blueback is the U.S. Navy’s last non-nuclear, fast-attack submarine and has been docked at OMSI since 1994.
