National Science FoundationThanks to generous grants from the National Science Foundation ITEST program, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Howard Vollum Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, OMSI is pleased to offer Salmon Camp and Salmon Camp Research Team programs free to middle school and high school students of Native American affiliation.

OMSI Salmon Camp and Salmon Camp
Research Team programs

Give students the opportunity to better understand the world around them and to research careers in resource management. Salmon Camp provides a pipeline into higher education as well as careers in science and resource management. Students are given hands-on experience working with federal, state, and tribal resource managers as well as university researchers, and receive training in the newest technology revolutionizing the field of resource management.
