Adult Member Night
|
|
On October 26, there was an Adults-Only member night at OMSI, celebrating the opening of Ends of the Earth. We had a bulletin board where visitors could post their ideas on two questions:
-
What should we do about global climate change?
- When is it ok to conduct experiments on animals?
You can read the posted comments here.

Adult & Family Camps
|
|
These exciting programs offer your family an opportunity to take a break from the weekly routine, meet new friends, and enjoy the outdoors while you learn about ecology and geology. Family camps are designed for the whole family, from grade-schoolers to grandparents. Activities are planned for different abilities: a lengthy hike, a moderate activity, and a close-to-camp exploration for small children and the less active. Family programs are open to children and adults of all ages, but an adult must accompany children. These programs are also open to single adults, couples without children, and grandparents.

Conference on Global Warming

Are you interested in learning but are tired of the same old lectures? Are you looking for something new to do on your weeknights? Then come to the Science Pub!
The Science Pub is a new event where you can find out about advances in science and technology from leading researchers and scientists, all while enjoying food and drinks. Don't expect a remote speaker behind a distant podium. Instead, experience the informal atmosphere where you can interact with the expert and where there are no silly questions. No scientific background is required; just bring your curiosity, sense of humor, and appetite for food, drinks, and knowledge!

In addition to Science Pub, OMSI is also conducting several forums about nanotechnology. These forums seek not only to inform the public about nanotechnology, but to involve citizens in decision making.
