Family Camps Descriptions
PLEASE NOTE: For family camps, fees are per person and include accomodations, food, program instruction, and equipment. Children ages three to six are half-price, and children under two are free. Registration must be completed for each individual family member.
Coastal Family Getaway

Spend a weekend at Camp Kiwanilong and enjoy ecology and marine biology activities appropriate for all ages — and all weather. Hike in the forest, canoe on a lake and take a stroll on the beach to see what the tide brings. Then, in the evenings, play games, sing songs and end each night by the campfire.
Memorial Day at Hancock

Bring the family for three days at Camp Hancock and learn about everything from
astronomy to paleontology. OMSI instructors will help you search for fossils and wildlife in the canyons, and at night we’ll stargaze and sing songs around the campfire.

Hancock Family Weekend

Labor Day at Hancock

Join us for an unforgettable weekend at Camp Hancock and learn about the geologic history and wildlife of the John Day Fossil Beds. Instructor-led hikes will be available each day and our lapidary facility will be open for guests to cut and polish the thundereggs they’ll dig up at Richardson’s Agate Ranch.
